Happened to cross this very interesting contest online which invites you to share a photo a day. Its, basically, taking out time from the breathtaking days and busy schedules, to stop and taking notice of things happening around you. Capture a piece of the day that caught your eye and just share it. Isn’t this fun! It’s definitely going to be exciting and fun for me.
It was just yesterday when I was complaining to myself that I have not been spending enough time with Me. You know how it is when you have kids. Mine is a totally different range of responsibility; from taking care of the nappies, feeding, cleaning the toy room mess, potty training, identification of different animals, vegetables, fruits and shapes for 2-year-old to school tiffin, tidy uniforms, homework, exam preparations, dance n music classes, tantrums of an 11-year-old. I have not been able to take a full breath of my own lately, let alone writing or blogging.
So this little photo challenge came as a small break I could take from the daily marathon. Out of the unique list of daily prompts, the topic of the Day-1 is to capture something that begins with the letter ‘N’.
As I was going through the rules and topics of the challenge, I couldn’t help but notice my 2-year-old, Tweety, busy pulling out the drawers and spreading everything on the floor. The first reaction, as usual, was “Oh My God”. So all set again for another round of cleaning. But just as I called out her name and stood up yelling, she ran towards me and gave me a tight hug. There, there she did it again. And, of course, I just melted away with the innocence, sweet, natural and unaffected beauty of ignorance on her face along with the very apparent mischievous smile of how she had fooled me again. It was so pure, so ‘Naive’ floating with a pinch of ‘Naughtiness’. 🙂
