Socha tha apne haathon se sajaungi fir apni duniya nai…
Socha tha uss duniya ki hassi ko bhikherungi sab taraf…

Fir jalta saara jahan aur ye aasmaan bhi meri kismat pe…
Main bhi khilkhilaati zara sa, zara si muskurati unn par…
Chhedti zara sa , zara si mein itraati…
Kehti ki jao, na lagao nazar meri udaan par…

Failaye the maine parr apne, choone har oonchayi ko…
Khojne the woh raaz, jo chupe hain jahan ki galiyon mein…

Churani thi saari roshni mujhe sooraj se, khud chamakne ke liye…

Cooking…??? I wouldn’t say cooking is not my forte like those high-society ladies or young college-going girls or boys, who find a pride in boasting,

“How do you make tea? I have never ever boiled water, let alone make tea.“

“I am born in such a rich family that I have never had a glass of water by myself. We always had a cook or two at home.”

Come one man, stop irritating!!! What’s the big deal in boiling water??? 

I read these lines in my friend’s blog today and it just struck me. It took me back to my childhood, my adolescence and then to nearly 3 starting years of my marriage. Teenage is a time when anything and everything fascinates you. I was no different. Luckily it wasn’t material things but real inspirational people that fascinated me.

I was in my late teens when I met Tanuja Chandra (then Tanuja Jajoria, referred usually as TJ) in an MNC publishing house which I joined immediately after my graduation. She was then the Manager-Systems for the organization heading a team of about five to six people. She was responsible for the implementation of the ERP system for the organization and the launch of the company’s website. I didn’t get to work under her directly but was fortunate to have her as my guide during my MCA studies for a project along with another good friend and colleague of mine.

Day 29 – Lucky

I can’t be more lucky to be walking on my legs. I was totally paralyzed from my hips due to polio attack when I was merely 2 yrs old. I couldn’t even sit on my own. It was my mother’s determination and my sheer luck to be normally walking and doing everything that any person should be doing. 🙂

Day 28 – Corridor

This is the secret tunnel that was constructed in the Amer Fort to escape during any attack or war. Amer Fort was built by Raja Man Singh in 1592 AD in Amer, 11 KM from the city of Jaipur.

The Amer Fort or Palace is a beautiful structure that was built in the 16th century. Don’t forget to check out the ‘Sheesh Mahal’, ‘Diwan-i-Aam’ and ‘Sukh Mahal’ also. The fort is a ten minute walk uphill and your little trek will be worth the wonders that it offers. Don’t miss the royal elephant ride while you are at it! 🙂

Day 27 – 10 Minutes from Home

I live in a township which has a mini golf course inside. When I saw today’s topic, I had to share it. The golf course has a beautiful green belt around it making it an amazing place for morning and evening walks. The sunset is the most amazing one here as its rarely visible in the cities. It’s just a 10 minute walk from my apartment. 🙂
