Day 18 – Someone you spoke to today

Today was supposed to be an absolutely busy day for me. We were having elections in our Society to form the Association of Apartment Owners (AAO) and I was nominated for the post of General Secretary. I always had a streak in me to do things that could bring about a change and with that an attitude of a leader. As I was going to be totally busy the whole day with the electoral process, I sent both my kids with their father to my Mom’s place, relieving myself from the responsibility I couldn’t ignore. Now that they were gone, I was left alone with a bunch of aspiring politicians and so-called ‘King Makers’.

With all those heavy speeches going on around me, I found solace in the plants and beautiful flowers that bloomed in the sunshine and danced to the sprinkling water on them letting a few drops to stay on them as a mark of their innocent beauty. The peace that these little angels of nature gave me was beyond any explanation in words. While being in their company keeping me busy, I heard my victory announced. 🙂
